Where Does Everything Come From?

Description

Time is relative, space is expanding and light is a wave but also a particle. The discoveries that revolutionised physics during the twentieth century changed our entire worldview. In On the Origin of Time, the Belgian physicist Thomas Hertog shows us how this may once again be about to change. He will be in conversation with Bengt Gustafsson, Emeritus Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Uppsala University, about the living legacies of Georges Lemaître, Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr and Stephen Hawking. Lise Kirsebom will be in the chair.
