Alastair Reynolds

From Research to Science Fiction
Alastair Reynolds was still working as a researcher at the European Space Agency when he made his breakthrough with the first novel in his Revelation Space series. Now a full-time writer, his expertise as an astrophysicist is still to be found in his work and he is recognised as one of the foremost authors in the science fiction sub-genres of hard science and space opera. He will be discussing space exploitation, elephants and the Fermi Paradox with author and critic Johanna Koljonen.
