We have all seen a rapid escalation of COVID-19 Coronavirus and the effects it has had across all aspects of our lives and societies. Based on current information available, we expect the Gothenburg Book Fair to continue to take place from 24 – 27 September 2020. We are closely monitoring the rolling advice from the Swedish public health authorities and follow the developments from day to day. With this in mind, we also look ahead and concludes that the Book Fair, a year like this, will be more important than ever. Apart from our normal event programme, there will be plenty of topics to discuss and various perspectives to shed on these extraordinary times.
Meanwhile, there are several good reading initiatives that has spurred in traces of Covid-19. Perhaps you have noticed the #quarantinereading initiative? Gothenburg Book Fair has hooked up with fantastic fine authors reading aloud on 7.30 pm (GMT+1), on Instagram Stories.
